You have to try hard to come up with original ideas and themes. You have to shield yourself from getting ‘inspired’. But some people shamelessly copy ideas and start selling them. They are cheating you for money. After 1469 Original became a success in the market, a lot of fakes mushroomed. Some of them even with similar names as ours. But again, a fake is a fake is a fake.

They can copy ideas, but can they copy quality? Being in the business for almost a decade now, we at 1469 Original have everything in place, ranging from sourcing the fabric, treating it at our plant, designing, printing, crafting, packaging, supplying etc. This enables us to ascertain quality at all levels. It means that every 1469 Original product has passed many stringent quality tests before landing in your hands. Can you expect that kind of quality from someone who steals designs?

Originality comes from within. Especially when it’s about things like pride and heritage. These things simply cannot be faked. Nobody is happy wearing a fake. There’s this guilt, this felling that you have not invested your money at the right place.
