Sardara Speaks

Sardara Singh, pride of our nation, spoke to his heart's content about one of 1469 Original's recent products. An artifact in tribute to Hockey.

Here's what he said.

"Reinvention has always been at the heart of 1469 Original products. Add to it their dedication to promote culture, values, wellness and sport, and you have a line of products that no other brand offers today. Recently I received this exquisitely designed artifact created by 1469 Original in tribute to Hockey. I felt so humbled (yet proud) at this gesture that I cannot explain it in words.

In a country where Cricket occupies most of the mind space, and media space, it's a breath of fresh air when a brand comes ahead and takes up the responsibility to promote a sport that has been neglected for so long, despite being country's national sport. It only shows courage and selflessness.

Sitting in my drawing room (along with drawing rooms of many other key Hockey players of India) this little trophy inspires me everyday and makes me proud of being associated with Indian Hockey.

This limited edition product, made from a pair of hockey sticks standing upright, is made from Brass and Bronze and weighs about 1kg. Handmade, this 1469 Original artefact is about 9 inches in height and is available at our website and stores across the country at an MRP of Rs. 1469/- only.
